Creative Writing II invites students to continue work from Creative Writing I with a particular interest in one or two genres. Students may choose to work on poems or short stories or essays exclusively if they wish. Students are expected to explore reading in the genre(s) they choose and reflect in their weekly reflections which outside pieces and writers have influenced their own work and how. Students are expected to make mature decisions on how to use classroom time and to turn in weekly work on time.
Creative Writing III invites students to engage in writing at a higher level, to help construct a literary magazine, and to work on videos and documentaries. Students may choose the genres in which they wish to work but are expected to create a sizable amount of work to turn in at the end of each week. Students are expected to make mature decisions on how to use classroom time and to turn in weekly work on time.
